Don’t forget to add a NCK value to your link
Now that you have created a campaign, You need to update your website link in your marketing efforts accordingly.
You will first need to determine the intended landing page the link sends visitors to. This could be your homepage or a page on the website that is specific to a promotion such as:
- www.myproperty.com/promotions/welcome.aspx Additionally, this landing page may include non-NAVIS parameters such as:
- www.myproperty.com/promotions/?utm_content=banner&affiliateid=1234321
Once you've identified the intended landing page our Best Practice is to add the campaign toll-free number as the NCK value in the format of "nck=<<##########>>". Depending if the landing page already has parameters in it you will want to update as follows:
- If the landing page does not contain any other parameters, the NCK value can be appended after a question mark (?).
- If the landing page contains other parameters, the NCK value can be appended after an ampersand (&). Adding the NCK value to the example landing pages to use a driving campaign that had the toll-free number “8006666666" would result in the following:
- www.myproperty.com/promotions/welcome.aspx?nck=8006666666
- www.myproperty.com?utm_content=banner&nck=8006666666
- www.myproperty.com/promotions/welcome.aspx?utm_content=banner&nck=8006666666
- www.myproperty.com/promotions/?utm_content=banner&affiliateid=1234321&nck=8006666666
