When you are on a call with a guest that is ready to book, you will need to pause the call to collect the guests credit card information. Within Agent, you’ll have two options to gather that data. One way is through a digit press option and the other is through audio only.
Digit Press
The digit press option allows guests to type in their credit card number, expiration date, and CVV. Once they have entered in the information it will appear on your screen to allow you to copy and input into your system.
Please note: your account must be configured for digit press for this option to be available.
Audio Only
This option allows you to gather the guest's credit card information by having them tell you the information. The recording is paused in this option to allow you to gather the information.
For either option, you will follow the below steps first two steps:
- While in a call you will select the Launch icon in the voice control panel.
- Then select Take Payment.
Voice Only
- Collect the guest credit card information while the recording is paused.
- When complete, select Exit and Resume Recording.
Digit Press
Only for accounts configured for digit press.
- Once you select the Take Payment option the guest will hear a series of recordings asking for the guest credit card number, the expiration date, and the CVV.
- Once complete and the guest selects the final # their information will appear on your screen.
- To gather the information you can highlight all the text and select CTRL+C.
- If you are unable to gather the information before the box disappears, you can find the information in the Marquee by selecting the bell icon in the upper right corner.
You will NOT be able to copy the information from the Marquee, but you will be able to click on it to enter the credit card information into the correct system.
**Note if your account is set to the digit press option and the guest has any issues entering in their credit card information, you can select the Launch icon and click on Switch to Voice to change the method of collection.
