After previewing your campaign you will move to the segments page. Here you will select a segment for your campaign. You can search for and select an existing campaign or create a new segment using the linked text at the top of the page.
After you have selected a segment an additional options page will open. On this page you can see your selected segment and some options to narrow your segment, depending on your campaign type. ( If you are creating a transaction campaign you will have fewer options). You can use the button below the segment card to go back to the segments page and choose a different segment.
Lets go over how each checkbox will affect who the campaign is delivered to.
The first check box is narrowing your segment based on who has received the campaign or their interactions with a campaign. So you might narrow the campaign to be sent only to people who have not received any marketing campaigns in the last X amount of time.
The second check box is narrowing your segment based on who has received or interacted with a SPECIFIC campaign.
The enable Safe Mode (GDPR best Practice) option allows you to narrow the segment to people who have either subscribed, provided explicit or double opt in consent or, only double opt in consent.
The last check box allows you to exclude any email that has a future stay, meaning that If the same email appears in 2 profiles, neither guest profile will receive the message.
You can use multiple of these checkboxes for one campaign to customize your segment send.
