Q: How do I ensure my guests have consented to receive emails?

Right to Data Portability & Right to Erasure
Q: My guest asked for all of their personal data or wants to be deleted entirely. How do I do this?
A:To remove a contact from Revinate Marketing, you’ll head over to Guests & Segments > Guest Database > Search, and search for the guest who wants their information removed. Locate their profile and click into the profile From there, you’ll hit the trash can in the top right corner.
Right to Refuse Profiling
Q: A guest requested to be removed from future profiling, how do I remove them from Revinate Marketing?

Other FAQs
Q: How do I ensure that I don’t send campaigns to people I should not?
A: We recommend you use our Safe-Mode button when sending your campaigns. Information on Safe-Mode can be found here.
Q: Do I have to Double Opt-in everyone?
A: We would recommend sending a double opt-in campaign to guests that reside in known EU member states. This campaign will allow Revinate to capture proof of consent on your behalf. Information on the process for double opt-in can be found here.
Revinate Post-Stay Surveys
Q: Should I be concerned about emailing guests a Post-Stay Survey given GDPR?
A: No, the guest satisfaction survey emailed to guests who stayed with you is a critical part of your business operations. To follow email best practices, add the unsubscribe link at the bottom of your survey emails. You may also provide a link to your privacy policy in your Survey invitation email.
