In order for revenue to be attributed to a specific Marketing campaign in your account, you will need to ensure that the "Room Revenue Tracking" checkbox within the "Review" section of the Campaign Builder is selected.
For each email campaign, Revinate Marketing logs the email addresses that the campaign is sent to, along with the date of send. When a new booking is processed, Revinate's system will check to see if a Marketing campaign has been sent to that email address within the "booking window" period.
Revinate considers the "booking window" to be 30 days.
Rules
- The guest's booking must include an email address for it to be considered in the revenue attribution.
- To determine if the booking was made during the "booking window", Revinate compares the reservation's "booking date" (just the date, not time, because Revinate may not always have time) with the email send date.
- If the email address of the booking matches an email address that received a Revinate Marketing campaign within 30 days of the email campaign being sent, Revinate will attribute the revenue from the booking to that Marketing campaign only if that person opened the email.
Please note, if the "turn off revenue tracking" option is showing as fixed (i.e. when you hover over it with your mouse it's grayed out and you can't change it), it means that the campaign is scheduled. In order to change the revenue tracking, you need to turn the campaign off and then you should then be able to check/un-check that box.
