Once you have set up your Guest Preferences landing page, created your questionnaire following best practices for survey creation you may add it to any of your marketing emails you may also view your incoming guest results in a daily report.
In this article we will cover:
- Linking to the Guest Preferences questionnaire landing page
- Segmenting based on the questionnaire results
- Viewing responses in the guest profile.
Linking to the Guest Preferences Questionnaire
You may link your Call to Action buttons to the Guest Preferences Landing page.
Simply select an image or Call to Action button to link. This will open the corresponding Module Editor. Go to the URL section and select PREFERENCES QUESTIONAIRE.
Now when the Image or Call to Action button are clicked on they will redirect to your Guest Preferences Questionnaire landing page.
You are able to embed text with the link to your guest preferences questionnaire by highlighting text, clicking the "link" icon in the text editor, and in the pop-up, selecting the merge tag [GUEST PREFERENCES URL].
We would recommend attaching this link to many of your email campaigns to constantly be capturing this guest data for better understanding of your guest and improving segmentation. The Guest Preferences landing page does not require any logins, and also we remember the preferences guest has submitted previously. These can be updated at any time by the guest by click on the link.
Segmentation
By knowing more about a guest’s interests, you can send them much more targeted campaigns, increasing the likelihood of converting (e.g., spa upsell to someone with “spa” interest) and minimizing the likelihood of unsubscribes/spam reports.
When creating a guest segment you will see that you are now able to add conditions based on your Guest Preferences questions.
Property Level Segmentation
At the property level, segmentation and the process of creating a segment will follow the usual steps.
Group Level Segmentation
At the Group level when creating a segment there will be a few things to note. You should note the property guest list you wish to use and in selecting conditions to ensure that you a first selecting the Guest Preferences conditions before adding others so that it is the first thing the system begins to filter for.
Rich Guest Profile
In your Guest Profile, your guest responses to your questionnaire will be displayed and stored. Any questions in your questionnaire that you may have archived, these would be questions that would not be deleted as some guest may have responded to it but that you have opted to not have displayed in your current iteration of the questionnaire.
