Revinate Surveys includes an additional publishing option allowing German-speaking guests to publish syndicated reviews to HolidayCheck. If you have German-speaking guests from the DACH region you can enable publishing to HolidayCheck for those specific guests, while still having the option to publish to TripAdvisor, Google or have publishing turned off for all other guests.
The survey and syndication experience
With HolidayCheck syndication turned on, a guest that fills out your survey in German will be prompted to fill out the HolidayCheck widget, which will publish directly to HolidayCheck.

In this article we will cover:
- Group/Corporate level WITH German as default language
- Group/Corporate/Independent Property account WITHOUT German as its default language
Edit or Create a New Survey to access the settings to enable HolidayCheck. There are two ways to set up HolidayCheck for your property or group and both depend on whether German is or is not the default language for the account.
Group/corporate level WITH German as default language
If your account is set up with German as its default language HolidayCheck will appear in your Survey admin settings so that you can easily enter a greeting message for the HolidayCheck publishing widget.
The HolidayCheck greeting message is below the general greeting message and the TripAdvisor greeting message section.
Configuring publishing
Navigate to the publishing section of your survey administration page. Here is where you will select what site (Google or TripAdvisor) that you would like guests to publish a review on. You may choose to allow publishing to an external review site or not. This is where you can select the box to enable prompting guests to post to HolidayCheck if they answered their Revinate Survey in German.
Adding exemptions
At the group level, if the account's default language is German, add individual properties that are exempt from the default publishing option.
Example:
- Property A will not publish a review site, Property B will publish to TripAdvisor and all other properties can publish to Google. For each of these options select the box for anyone completing the survey in German to publish to HolidayCheck.
Group/ Corporate WITHOUT German as default language
If you DO NOT have German as your account’s default language, there will be one additional step. You will need to enter all German Language text to have your survey and survey invitation email translated completely.
When you go to your survey publishing page it will prompt you to enable German on the Translation Settings page to access the ability to post to HolidayCheck. You must have a German-language survey to enable this feature.
Enabling Translation Settings
To enable German language for surveys go to the ADMINISTRATION tab and click the TRANSLATIONS tab. From there, add German as a language option or if it is already in your list of languages (this would have been set up during the integration process) go ahead and toggle it ON so that the box under ACTIONS is green.
For more detailed information on translating your surveys, see our help desk article: Translate your Surveys: 25 different languages
Once this is complete, your guests can select German as their preferred language.
Create a new Survey and translate the content into German
Now that you have enabled German as a language option you will need to create the German language survey.
