Some corporate accounts will have the ability to run custom reports looking at data for their brand(s) against other major hotel brands.
Once you have opened the custom report builder, there will be two new options that allow comparing brand information:
- View by Brands: these are the rows of your report so that you can separate the data by individual brands.
- Filter Data: Brands: filter in/out data based on specific brands
View by Brands
The View By section allows you to choose what rows are displayed. Accounts with the brand comparison setting can select "Brands." When selecting this option, all possible major brands with reporting enabled are available and listed in separate rows.
Filter Data by Brands
The "Filter Data" section of custom reports is an important section where you can further specify exactly what data you'd like to look at. After selecting the overall metrics in the "Add Columns" section and then selecting how to want to break out the data as rows in the "View by section, the Filter Data will allow you to filter on several other attributes.
The brands option within the Filter Data section of the report builder will allow you to specify exactly which of the major brands you would like to include in your report. If you have selected "brands" in the View By section of the report builder, then only the brands you selected in the Filter Data - Brands option will appear as rows. Otherwise, if you don't select any brands in the Filter data section, the report will include all major brands loaded in Revinate at that time.
